Introduction To SiteGround
Creating A Subdomain
Creating a subdomain is a very easy and very useful task you can complete on your hosting account. Subdomains come in handy if you ever need to expand your domain with additional content that you want to keep distinctly separate from the other content on the site. For example, say while we are building our site we also wanted to create a blog, but we want this blog to have a different look and feel from the rest of the site. We want it to have it’s own WordPress instance with its own theme. We can accomplish this by creating a subdomain.
To create a subdomin first log into your SiteGround account and go to the domain dashboard (site tools) of the domain you want to create a subdomain under.

Once in the dashboard navigate to the Domains section of the Navigation bar and click on the subdomains section.

Once you are in the subdomains section, go ahead and enter the name you want your subdomain to have. Since we are creating a blog we are going to call it ‘blog’.

Go ahead and click create, and that’s all there is to it. You have now created a subdomain that you can have a completely new and separate WordPress installation on.
